We are all Treaty People

We’d like to acknowledge that we work and live on Treaty 6 territory, a traditional meeting grounds, gathering place, and travelling route to the Cree, Saulteaux (So-toe), Blackfoot, Métis, Dene (De-nay) and Nakota Sioux (Sue) and more. We acknowledge all the many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit whose footsteps have marked these lands for centuries. We recognize that the Treaty 6 Peace and Friendship treaty is a binding agreement that we are all active participants in and agree in upholding the Calls to Action found in the Truth and Reconciliation reports (2015).
